Steps to Enroll

Find detailed application instructions and complete your application here: dzsmg.net/apply. 

If this is your first time completing an application for Federal financial aid, you must first create an FSA ID. 

  • Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov. School code: 003040
  • Complete scholarship application at dzsmg.net/scholarships.
  • Explore payment options at dzsmg.net/payingforcollege.

There are multiple ways students can place into English and math courses including ACT/SAT or high school transcripts. Visit dzsmg.net/placement to review your options. Please note, if you took an unproctored ALEKS math placement test, the scores will not be accepted for Fall 2022. You will need a proctored exam. 

Official transcripts can be mailed in or sent electronically. For instructions visit dzsmg.net/transcripts. If student plans on using federal financial aid, an official GED or high school transcript with graduation date is required.

View and print a PDF of Tri-C's placement options here. 

  1. Attend New Student Orientation after your placement has been confirmed (virtual and in person options) dzsmg.net/orientation.
  2. Schedule a counseling appointment at dzsmg.net/counseling.
  3. Complete My Online Readiness Experience to prepare for online coursework.

Register for classes via my Tri-C space.

Payment arrangements must be in place at the time of registration.

Enrollment To Do List

  • Submit Official high school/GED transcripts.
  • Sign into my Tri-C space.
  • Check your Tri-C email for admissions details.
  • Complete My Online Readiness and visit Admissions and Financial Services to get your student ID (Stomp Card). Bring a government-issued photo ID. 
  • Purchase textbooks online or at the campus bookstore after you register for classes.

Signing into my Tri-C space

Sign in to my Tri-C space. As soon as your application is processed, the College will generate your my Tri-C space account. Here, you will obtain important information regarding registration, financial aid and course planning. You can also access your student email through my Tri-C space. Check your email regularly for important updates.

  1. Go to http://my.dzsmg.net.
  2. Click Password Tools and Assistance.
  3. Click Change Your Password to create a password.
  4. Enter your Tri-C ID (S#) and click Continue.
  5. Enter your date of birth as your old password (Use m/d/yyyy format with no leading zeros.)
  6. Create a new password and reenter it.
  7. Click the "Change" button to be redirected to the my Tri-C space login page.
  8. Log in using your student email (S00000000@acad.dzsmg.net) and the password you just created. 

(You will need to create a new password every 120 days.) 

Multi-Factor Authentication

Once your password is established, you will be required to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access certain Tri-C applications or tools. MFA is required by the college due to federal regulations. Read Student MFA Enrollment for detailed instructions.
